The Rice Geometry Lab will pair small groups of undergraduate students with faculty members and graduate students to explore topics in geometry (broadly interpreted). Projects will focus on producing visual or physical models to explain and communicate mathematical ideas. The time commitment will be around three to five hours a week, and each group will produce a poster which will be displayed at a poster session at the end of the semester.
Upon successful completion of the program, each student will receive 1 credit for Math 479 (Math Undergraduate Research).
All undergraduate students are welcome.
Please, contact with Prof Gregory Chambers if you have any questions and/or would like to participate to the program.
